Get The Look – Emerald is My New Peach
Being my birthstone, I have always had a soft spot for Emerald but never really worn the colour much. Pantone, the world reknowned authority on colour, announced Emerald as ‘2013 Colour of the Year’ describing it as “Lively. Radiant. Lush…A colour of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.” Since then there has been a flood of glorious shades of green into the stores.
I’ve put together this fab Girl’s Night outfit in Emerald. They are way out of my price range but I just love these Emerald and Navy Erdem ‘Connelly’ lace trousers from http://www.matchesfashion.com Skinny leg, cropped to the ankle and just crying out to be paired with the uber-cool (and infinitely more affordable) Paris Hilton ‘Audrey’ boots in Navy! Who said blue and green should never be seen? You can check them out here http://www.heels.com. I think the soft fabric of the Jade Sleeveless Wrap Top from http://www.newlook.com adds the perfect femininity to the outfit. Last of all I went with a blingy silver clutch to tie all the accessories together. This one from http://www.luisaviaroma.com is extravagant but I chose it because I liked the blingy butterfly.
Right, so your all dressed up, let’s accessorise!
With an outfit like this I think a necklace is a must! The top has a V neckline that usually calls for a V shaped necklace to match the shape, but I have given you two options here that I think work nicely with this top. The first is Vesper, a lariat style necklace with a large silver disc pendant and lengths of chain that will trail pleasingly down your cleavage. Option two is Transpire, a longer style with crystals to give interest at the V and a gorgeous diamante peacock pendant to add the desired extra bling.
The next ‘must have’ is earrings! In fact, I never leave the house without them, no matter where I am going. I have chosen the Uplifting Black Bubble Hoop Earrings which unfortunately are no longer available BUT they do come in a range of other colours including Refreshing Emerald. They are the perfect Party Girl earrings.
Now for some optional extras!
Firstly there’s Willow, a simple stretch crystal bracelet featuring a fab diamante crucifix. Super sparkly and easy to wear. If you are adding a jacket I really wouldn’t bother with a bracelet unless the jacket has 3/4 sleeves. You want to show off your style! The second optional extra is Meadow, a lush green paua shell oval dress ring. Not too big, not too small but…..oh the colour!
I’m thinking drinks, dinner and dancing but that part is entirely up to you!
